ABOUT LAKE BLALOCK
Located in Northern Spartanburg County and within the Pacolet River Basin Lake Blalock was constructed by the Spartanburg Water System in 1983. It encompasses 1105 acres, with approximately 45 miles of shoreline. The lake is available for recreational activities including boating, fishing, and swimming.

Spartanburg Water System has established lake use restrictions - 40 HP motors for pontoon boats 16 feet or longer, 30 HP motors for other boats, no skiing, no jet skis or personal watercraft are permitted. The water system also has a buffer management plan in place to protect the peace, tranquility and water quality of this spectacularly beautiful lake. Boat docks are available by permit from Spartanburg Water System.

Recent development/home construction surrounding Lake Blalock has a decidely upscale flavor, influenced by the lake's pristine shoreline, easy access and close proximity to schools, churches and shopping.
